Buche de Chèvre
A soft-ripened goat's milk cheese produced in the Poitou reigion in the Loire Valley.
This wonderful log shaped goat's cheese is aged for two months giving it a wonderfully hard, bloomy white rind. A melt in your mouth cheese, it has the complex but typical bold taste of good French goat's cheeses, which is underlined by notes of sweet caramel. A soft and creamy pasteurised cheese with a flaky centre.
We'd serve it warm on a salad with fig balsamic. Or straight on a cracker with a big, bold red from neighbouring Bordeaux.
